Bat Talk and Walk. After a 45-minute presentation on bat natural history with live bats, the group will carpool to the Yolo Bypass Wildlife Area to watch one of the largest colonies of Mexican free-tailed bats in California as it emerges to hunt insects at sunset. Acting up. Solano Youth Theatre’s Acting for Youth classes engage kids in grades 4 through 12 in acting, singing, dancing, and rehearsing Shakespeare. Friends and family can see what they’ve been up to in a free performance at the end of each session. Session 1 (June 16-June 27) features The Taming of the Shrew; session 2 (July 7-July 18) features Macbeth. $150 per session, or $250 for both. Animal style. Don’t let the kids miss out on Seafari Day Camp at Six Flags Discovery Kingdom this summer.
